This week:  Students completed and turned in their completed posters!  Below are some pictures of their work.  Wednesday and Thursday students completed a Research Simulation Task which asks the students to decide if it is OK to remove historical objects from other countries. We discussed the movie "The Monuments Men"  which was about an American military unit sent out to recover, protect and return artwork stolen by Adolph Hitler's forces.

Students thought this was an interesting topic to write about

This week:  Students began work on their posters. It's great to see students excited about what they are doing in class.  The nuts and bolts of this assignment are posted on Google Classroom, the final product is more hands on, combining researching, writing, and artistic challenges.

This was not sent home to be completed as homework (yet). However, several students asked if they could continue working on this at home.

Up-Coming Events
Students will complete their posters, and develop another set of vocabulary words and big ideas.  No quiz date set yet. Wednesday and Thursday students will be working on a Research Simulation Task which asks the students to decide if it is OK to remove historical objects from other countries.
